Corporate Headshots for Houston Teams & Businesses
Consistent, Modern, and Painless Business Headshots
Corporate headshots for Houston companies, from small team and staff headshots to organization-wide sessions. Each person receives individual expression coaching and reviews their images on-screen before the session ends so no one leaves with a photo they did not approve. Beyond the photography, I manage scheduling, file delivery, naming, and retouching coordination, so your team gets consistent, polished headshots without adding a project to your plate.
What Makes These Sessions Different
Most flat, forgettable headshots fail on three fronts: the subject looks uncomfortable, the lighting kills the eyes, and the retouching looks overdone or artificial. Our sessions address all three areas:
- Expression coaching to get confident, engaging expressions from every person
- Modern 3-point lighting fills the eyes with light so they look alive and sharp
- Authentic retouching so your people look their best, not like they were cranked out of an AI generator
The result is company headshots that look sharp, natural, and confident.
What Every Corporate Headshot Session Includes
Each team member gets individual attention from start to finish. I photograph directly to a computer, so every person can see their images in real time and make their final selection before they leave.
Included for each of your staff:
- Individual expression coaching
- Live image review on a computer during the session
- Image selection at the time of the shoot
- One professionally retouched image per person (never overdone)
- Files cropped for LinkedIn, company website, and internal use
- Images named by employee for easy file management
- Simplified, painless electronic delivery to each individual and your coordinator
- Satisfaction guaranteed
Matching Your Style
While I believe I offer the most compelling style for staff headshots, you may prefer to match the style of your existing team headshots. This is definitely something I can do. I can analyze the lighting setup from your existing headshots, and match that style for your new headshots. The expression coaching I provide will still get you great results while matching your style.
Background Options
I find the most appealing background to be the medium gray like the images at top of this page; however, a different shade of gray, a white background, a brand color background, or even an environmental background are all viable options for your headshots. We can determine that detail in the planning call. Be sure to chat with your graphics design team about what works well for your annual report, web design, or marketing campaign. While backgrounds are much easier to change electronically these days, headshots shot on the correct background to begin with will always look better.
What About The Crop
For headshots, I typically shoot chest up, and I provide 3 crops: a loose 5×4 crop, a LinkedIn square crop, and the tighter 5×4 crop like the ones in the first and second set of images above. Some of my clients prefer more of a portrait of a 1/2 to a 3/4 body shot to allow for specific speaking bios, or press releases. We will finalize what you need during the planning phase. It is usually better to have a specified crop for your needs, so I can use my specialized tools to make sure the crops are consistent between your team, and you will not need to do the cropping later and risk variability in the images. Full crops are provided for environmental portraits without the LinkedIn or the tight crops.
Add-ons to your session
Makeup Artist
I have an awesome makeup artist. With her experience in film productions, she understands the best way to apply makeup that complements people under the lights. She also can do some light hair styling. She is available for in studio or on location sessions.
Black & White Conversions
Black and white images are a popular design option for websites and marketing materials. Simply desaturating the image during the graphic deign phase may not get you the best results. Consequently, I provide the option for black and white conversion of your images during the editing phase which allows me to fine tune the image contrast and color balance to make sure every skin-tone pops well in the black and white version. You will still receive the color versions along with the black and white.
Group & Team Photos
A group or team photo can be added to any on-site session. Two approaches are available depending on your needs which include a traditional or a composite group shot.
Traditional Group Shot
A traditional group shot works well for smaller teams when everyone is present on the same day.
Composite Group Shot
For larger teams, mixed availability, or photos that may need to be updated over time, composite team photos are a great option. Each person is photographed separately and combined into a single image. Composites are easier to update when team members change without reshooting the entire group.
Lifestyle & At-Work Photography
Environmental and lifestyle portraits can be added to an on-site session. These are the images companies use on About pages, in press materials, and in recruiting such as people at their desks, in meetings, working in the warehouse or storefront rather than posed against a backdrop. This type of office and workplace photography pairs well with headshots since the team is already together. Adding a lifestyle component like business branding and marketing photography at the same visit avoids a second setup fee and a second visit for your team.
Event Headshot Booth
For conferences, receptions, and company-wide events where headshots are offered to a larger group in a shorter window, the headshot booth format handles volume efficiently. Each person receives expression coaching and same-day gallery delivery. Retouched images are returned within 48 hours of selections. See the Event Headshot Booth page for packages and pricing.

Scheduling & Delivery Made Easy
Scheduling Page

The page includes preparation tips, what to expect during the session, and any dress code or attire requirements you want to communicate. Coordination stays off your plate and every team member arrives prepared.

Retouched images are delivered electronically to each individual and your coordinator within 5 business days. Files are named by employee, and rush delivery is available on request.
Keeping Your Team Consistent With Follow-Ups & New Hires
Follow-Up Sessions
Anyone who misses the on-site session can come to my studio within two weeks at the same group rate. They will be able to schedule online via my corporate scheduling page.
New Hire Sessions
New hires can book individual studio sessions at the new hire rate throughout the year to keep your company directory and website current without waiting for the next full team session. The studio is near the intersection of the Southwest Freeway and the West Loop which is convenient to most Houston offices. I have parking right in front of the studio, along with dressing and makeup areas so you can change at the studio if necessary.
Frequently Asked Questions about Business Headshots
Will you come to our office for a corporate headshot session?
Yes. On-site sessions are available at offices and corporate facilities throughout Houston and the surrounding area. I bring professional lighting equipment and background options to your location. The optimal setup space is roughly 15 by 15 feet, but smaller spaces work. Access to power is needed, and wi-fi is helpful.
Can you handle headshots across multiple office locations?
Yes. For companies with offices in multiple cities, I travel for larger engagements and have access to a network of photographers nationwide. The default style used in every session is the Peter Hurley method which is a modern, expression-focused approach that produces the clean, engaged look you see in high-caliber headshots from major brands and publications. Most people recognize the look without knowing the name behind it.
I am one of 178 trained and approved Peter Hurley Associates worldwide and one of 32 Mentors selected by Peter to coach other photographers in the Headshot Crew. That training is what drives the expression coaching in every session, regardless of the lighting or background style being used. If your organization has an established look to maintain, I provide a detailed style guide to the photographers in other cities covering lighting, background, crop, and retouching standards so results stay consistent across every location. Expression coaching is part of every session either way.
I manage the overall project and coordinate with photographers in each location, so you have one person to deal with at the top level rather than juggling multiple contacts.
How are corporate headshots and professional headshots different?
Corporate headshots are commissioned by a company for its employees, team, or organization. Consistency across the group is typically the priority: matching backgrounds, lighting, and crop so every person on the website or in the directory looks like part of the same shoot. Professional headshots are broader and usually refer to an individual session for LinkedIn, a resume, or personal use, where personal style and expression carry more weight than matching anyone else.
How should employees prepare for headshot day?
Solid colors photograph better than busy patterns. Clothing should reflect how the person presents themselves at work, as well as how the company wants to be presented. A light touch of grooming goes a long way. Once the session date is confirmed I send a scheduling page to your team that includes preparation tips and what to expect during the Solid colors with sleeves photograph better than busy patterns. Skip heavy makeup and arrive camera-ready. Hydrating and getting good sleep in the days before makes a visible difference. Each session runs 5 to 10 minutes and includes expression coaching and instant image review on screen. Blemishes and glare are handled in retouching. The full employee preparation guide is available to share with your team ahead of time.
Should you chose indoor or outdoor corporate headshots?
Indoor sessions are the more controlled option and the better choice for most corporate work. Lighting is consistent across the group regardless of time of day, wind is not a factor, power is readily available, and the results match from person to person. Outdoor sessions have a less formal feel and can work well for certain brands and environments. Houston summers make early morning the only practical outdoor window. For most companies photographing a team, indoor is the straightforward choice.
Can corporate headshots be used for LinkedIn and company websites?
Yes. We provide both high-Yes. Every session includes files optimized for web use alongside full resolution images for print. Corporate licensing covers use by both the company and the individual employee across LinkedIn, the company website, internal directories, and marketing materials.
