A break in the rain on a cold December day brought people out at Place St. Michel. This gentleman was entertaining the crowds near Notre Dame creating huge bubbles that children go crazy over. It was dusk, so the lights were coming on which created a great backdrop to the bubbles. Houston Commercial Photographer Dee Zunker

"Hip" was created when I had a little fun with this image. #Architecturalphotographers are quite obsessive about straight verticals. In this is image I chose to deviate from the norm and add my twist to add that little hint of a human element. This particular morning was absolutely golden. The storm clouds were still lingering, but the sun was starting to punch through the clouds as it rose over the GR Brown. The buildings were on fire, and the dark blue and purple storm clouds hang over and behind this image. I tried to capture the feel of the light that morning: its golden tones, radiance, and feel of warmth after a few very cold and rainy days. Houston Commercial Photographer Dee Zunker
